Manual Therapy for the Thorax and Thoracic Spine

Dear Colleague (May we call you that?),

We have just finished an extremely well-received workshop for the Cervical Spine. Early feedback from both clinicians and academicians re that module has encouraged us to invite you to our next “sharing.” We happen to a way that works beautifully. The results have been amazing! We were hoping you could give us your invaluable feedback.

You are hereby cordially invited to a workshop showcasing techniques that provide remarkable functional gains and attempt to fill in common treatment gaps in PT and manual therapy practice:

Synthesized Manual Medicine Techniques

For Somatic Dysfunctions of the Thoracic Spine and Thoracic Cage

When you can see yourself clearly in a warm learning environment among esteemed and appreciative colleagues learning unbelievably powerful manual techniques, you know it’s time to book your attendance with us on:

September 7 & 14, 2008

9 am to 5 pm

At the Academy of Culinary Arts (AICA)

Skyway Tower, Pasig City (near Ultra)

(Yup, we once again found a way to fit in great food!)

It would be great to see you there with us!

Once you understand what a great deal this opportunity is, please confirm attendance immediately with our Registry Team (Mitch, Rey, Harold, Jim, Kristoff). You may also register with us during the Second Philippine Mind-body Conference at the Richmonde on August 30 and 31.

Sincerely,

Sandro Strix S.Toledo, M.D.

At the Second Philippine Mind-body Conference,

Doctor Toledo's topics shall include:

I. Ignored Anatomy: What the Medical Community usually fails to check? (30 August 2008 9am)

Introduction:

Chronic mental stress, fatigue or burnout has been linked to - among other things - gastritis, severe headaches, and heart attack risk.

What if i were to tell you

that i could tell

how stressed you were

by touching

just a few spots on your body

that most

would not have even checked?

What if those spots were linked to most headaches and nape pain?

What if you could be pain-free without medications?

What if the solutions were so simple that they have been strangely overlooked for decades?

The Notion of 'what we know can't hurt us'

We don't treat what we don't know is there

We don't check what we don't know how to treat

II. The Relaxation Response: Parallel Pathways (30 August 2008 450pm)

This session will explore general mechanisms of entry into the much-coveted state of relaxation.

This Parasympathetic Rest and Recovery Response has profound mental, emotional, and physiologic effects. The usual ways to reach this state include:

1. Mind to Body = meditation techniques, prayer,

2. Body to Mind = Bodywork of all sorts (Bowenwork, certain massage techniques and protocols, post-exercise, etc.)

An integration is proposed, so that both approaches or gateways are used.

A powerful synergy is the hoped-for endpoint. Our work in this direction includes the application of Biofeedback techniques, Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) Techniques, and the Revolutionary new field opened up by Rapid De-afferentation Techniques.
Since a few good breathing techniques will be covered by other speakers, i will not delve deeply into breath-work.

Focus will instead be given on starting with calming the body as a rapid means of calming the mind.

A Reboot Demonstration will follow.

III. An Introduction To R.D.T.s: Mind-Body Reboot in Seconds (31 August 1120am)

Introduction:

What if you could be Pain-free in Seconds?

What if you could reach Mental Clarity in seconds?

How would that change the rest of your life?
